A theoretical Anatomy of a Centaur that I decided to
model as Chiron the teacher of heroes in Greek myth. I pictured him as a grizzled and scarred old warrior. The main problem I could see in anatomy for a centaur is where the human and equine halves meet. I created in my mind a floating pelvis at the meeting point that is like a slice off of the top of the human pelvis roughly 3 inches deep which sprouts off two welded spine sections just ahead of the shoulder blades. You can see where the muscles of the human torso anchor to it. Joe Images
