Amalthea (?)

Amalthea (?)

Posted by chitterbug on 12/9/2007
I have researched this sculpture for many months now trying to determine anything I can about her. I do believe she is called Amalthea. A goddess in greek mythology. There is a great story on her through Wikipedia.com.

She stands approximately 33" tall, and has a wingspan of about 17". From her helmet and sword all the way down to her feet where the cornucopia is, she is breathtaking. I believe she made out of either plaster or spelter. She weighs about 15 pounds.

I am trying to find out her value.
